Change made board tensions inevitable

BOARD-LEVEL tension at the Guernsey Training Agency has been acknowledged for the first time.
Directors and trustees have remained tight-lipped over frictions that allegedly led to five of the centre’s 13 board members stepping down.
However, Chamber of Commerce president Julian Winser (pictured) said such tension was understandable and would be expected at any organisation facing the degree of change that the GTA was.
‘When the mandate of an organisation changes, in my experience there is always going to be an element of tension,’ he said.
