Funds hit a new high after 32% rise in year

GuernseyFinance chief executive Peter NivenTHE value of investment funds in Guernsey has reached an all-time high after enjoying a fourth straight quarter of growth, according to the latest figures.

It means that for the year since 30 June 2009, the total value of funds under management and administration increased by £54.6bn to stand at £224.2bn – a 32.2% rise in a year.

The quarter to the end of June this year alone witnessed an increase of £26.8bn.

The previous all-time high was £207.2bn, reached at the end of the second quarter in 2008.

GuernseyFinance chief executive Peter Niven (pictured) welcomed the latest statistics.
