Saturday 18th September 2010, 2:29PM BST.
A YOUNG man was found dead at his home on Thursday night after appearing in court earlier that day.
A family member found the body of 21-year-old Thomas Hubert just hours after he appeared in court on charges of attempting to take a motor vehicle and punching a policeman in the face.
He was released on bail after having previously been remanded in custody for his own safety.
Mr Hubert originally appeared in court on Tuesday but was kept in custody following a request from Crown Advocate Gary Perry, who said the defendant had threatened to kill himself.
He was charged jointly with a juvenile with attempting to take a motor vehicle without the consent of the owner from Hougue a la Perre, Grand Bouet, St Peter Port, on 12 September.
