North 2, Rangers 1
NORTH are back.

Ross Cameron’s youngsters progressed to the Rawlinson Cup final after a tightly fought encounter with Rangers at the Track on Saturday evening.

Matt Loaring’s penalty set the chocolate-and blues on their way from the spot before Nigel Hutton doubled their advantage before half-time.

Piers Ockleford’s second-half free-kick halved the deficit but North survived a late flurry from their opponents to make Wednesday evening’s final.

Rangers perhaps deserved more for their efforts as they put up a strong fight and were the better side for large periods.
