Monday 20th September 2010, 2:30PM BST.

A KIDNAP victim’s damages case is still going ahead, although one of the advocates involved called it a waste of taxpayers’ money. The plaintiff and all three respondents are having their cases funded by legal aid.
Nathan Thomson, who is represented by Simon Geall, is claiming £50,000 for personal injury and post-traumatic stress disorder which he blames on the actions of Derek Marsh, Marsh’s then girlfriend, Nikita Brehaut, and her grandmother, Suzanne Bourgaize.
Marsh and Brehaut are in prison and Bourgaize is jobless.
In October 2008, Mr Thomson, a victim of mistaken identity, was bundled into a car and kidnapped by Bourgaize and Marsh. During his ordeal he was assaulted by Brehaut and stabbed by Marsh.
