Athletics 0, St Martin’s 3
IF THESE early season Rawlinson Cup games prove anything, it is surely the phenomenal strength in depth at St Martin’s disposal.

Even without their island stars on Saturday, they swept past Athletics, in a game that could easily have been double figures with some more clinical finishing.

As it was, a deserved brace for Marc McGrath and a solitary strike from Luke Winch, both of whom were outstanding, were enough to set up a final encounter with North.

To be fair to Tics, they worked hard, although Nathan Pattimore will seldom have had an easier game in the St Martin’s goal, while the yellows simply could not contain the brilliance of McGrath and his strike partner, the younger Winch brother.
