A BUILDER who says he still hasn’t been paid almost eight months after winning his unfair dismissal case has taken his former boss to court.
In February, an Employment and Discrimination Tribunal ruled that Neil Price had unjustly sacked Paul Farnham. Mr Farnham was awarded the maximum payout of six months’ wages – £12,512.50.
In the Ordinary Division of the Royal Court, Mr Farnham sought to recover the money from Mr Price through a wage arrest.
In response, Mr Price told the court he was now employed as a site foreman and asked for an adjournment so he could take legal advice.
But Bailiff Sir Geoffrey Rowland said the decision of the tribunal had the same status as a court ruling and that Mr Price would have to pay the money.
