GUERNSEY are 90 minutes away from European progression after a magnificent weekend in Croatia.
Playing their opening two games in the preliminary round group of the Uefa Regions Cup, representing England, the Sarnians have secured four points, a battling 1-1 draw against the hosts followed by yesterday’s 3-0 drubbing of Wales.
Ross Allen hit another brace in Klis yesterday to take his tournament tally to three in two and his overall England record to four in three, while Glyn Dyer chipped in with another.
It all means that a win tomorrow against Turkey in Solin will guarantee qualification as group winners, following the Turks’ 0-0 draw against Croatia, in a game featuring a staggering 10 bookings, a sending off and 48 fouls between the two sides.
