IT IS all hands on deck in Delhi in a race against time to clean up before the main body of athletes starts arriving tomorrow.
Guernsey’s Commonwealth Games team leaves the island today and chef de mission Dave Harry, who is already in the city, said everyone was mucking in to make sure the village was ready.
The team of 57 – 42 athletes and 15 managers – will occupy two-and-a-half floors of one of the newly-built apartments.
‘It’s all coming along very well. We have people in cleaning them today so they will be ready when the team arrives tomorrow,’ said Mr Harry.
