HSSD to spend £1m. less

HEALTH and Social Services is predicting it will curb its spending by £1m. this year.
And the States heard more good financial news yesterday when Chief Minister Lyndon Trott (pictured) said that the budget deficit was now estimated to be £30m. – £10m. or £11m. less than expected.
With the shortfall in revenue spending less than £100,000, it means the deficit is one of capital spending on things like rebuilding Les Beaucamps High School.
That spending is being covered by the States rainy day fund.
