Irrepressible College off to a winning start

DELOITTE ELIZABETH COLLEGE started their hockey season in the Men’s Division One with a thrilling 3-2 victory over early season pacesetters Unwantables.

An opening day victory had put Unwantables top of the table after the first round of matches but their title credentials have been called into question after this loss to the school side making their first appearance of the season.

Defending champions Investec Colombians and rivals Legis Independents now head the league standings after 9-0 and 8-1 victories over Cenkos Yobbos and Collins Stewart Clubhouse Casuals respectively.

College once again promise to be a tough outfit to beat this season judging by this first runout.
