BEN COULTER wants more of the same VIP treatment he received as an England player off the pitch, but not what was dished out to him on it on Tuesday.
The Guernsey midfielder was involved in an unsavoury incident when he claims to have been bitten on the backside during his side’s Uefa Regions Cup match against Ankara of Turkey.
Yesterday he was able to joke that he was ‘sitting on one cheek’ as the squad travelled back from Croatia, but he admitted that the match had taken the gloss off the week.
‘It was a bit strange to say the least,’ said Coulter of the 65th minute incident in which both he and opponent Halim Donmez were booked. ‘He landed on top of me and started biting my backside. As he dug in deeper, I grabbed his head to get him off me and then he started rolling about holding his face.’
