Private equity interest grows

INCREASED private equity investment in Guernsey’s trust and fund administration sector is highly likely in the coming months.
Mergers and acquisitions experts from accountants KPMG in the Channel Islands assessed the position at the first of three breakfast seminars taking place this autumn.
Activity in business sales and purchases in the Channel Islands is said to be rising as the economy recovers from the financial crisis.
KPMG’s head of advisory services Ashley Paxton (pictured) said interest from private equity businesses, primarily located in London, was increasingly common.
