HUNDREDS of islanders have already dived in for the 2010 Skipton Swimarathon.
Ambassador for the event, former island and international swimmer Helen Bailey, got the three-day event under way at Beau Sejour yesterday.
It is the Swimarathon’s 33rd year and more than 180 teams representing companies and clubs, schools and families will take to the pool.
Mrs Bailey is keen to promote the idea of children leading active lifestyles – and if they could raise money for a good cause at the same time, that was fantastic.
