TWO local doctors will be investigated by their practice following a complaint to the General Medical Council.

Mother-of-five Hannah Prigent, 27, and her partner, Jo Salgado, claim Drs Claude Geronimus and Julia Conway failed their son, Finley, when he developed pneumonia and a collapsed lung last month.

Five-year-old Finley’s potentially life-threatening condition was not diagnosed until five days after he was taken to the doctor, according to the family.

While the GMC has concluded that the case was not serious enough for it to investigate directly at this stage, it said that it would be appropriate for the doctors’ employers to hold their own investigation.
