New Airtel boss wants to invest in island community

The New CEO of Airtel-Vodafone Vinod Sud THE new local head of Airtel-Vodafone wants to see the operator become more embedded in the lives and minds of islanders.

Vinod Sud, who took over as chief executive of Airtel-Vodafone in the Channel Islands at the beginning of this month, said he wanted to build on the firm foundations put in place by his predecessor, Iain Williams.

Mr Williams is stepping down and returning to the UK to be with his family after 22 years overseas.

Mr Sud (pictured) comes into the role with a large amount of experience.

It is the fourth chief executive role he has held within the Airtel group during his 15 years with the business.
