SAINTS gave Paul de Garis a debut to forget at St Andrew’s with a first-half power show all the hallmark of champions.

The visitors were five to the good by half-time and were every bit as excellent as the result suggests.

As for Rangers, well forget any thoughts of lifting the title with performances like this.

While Saints, to a man, were top notch, Paul Ockleford’s side were ordinary in the extreme.
