A GUERNSEY teenager has been selected to feature in the 2011 calendar of a major national charity.

Chloe Lloyd, 17, will appear in the Mencap calendar and the image, captured by cousin Kelly Conway, will also feature in a touring exhibition.

Miss Conway’s photograph was picked from hundreds of entries to win one of 22 gold awards. These images will go on cubes to travel around the UK, promoting the work of Mencap.

Chloe’s mum, Nikki Blondel, said it had been a tough year for her daughter who had begun to suffer from epileptic fits the week before her 16th birthday.

Chloe was born at just 25 weeks, along with a twin sister who died.  She was born with cerebral palsy, symptomatic epilepsy and a moderate learning disability.
