Les Bourgs needs £3m. in just a year

The new, bigger Les Bourgs Hospice is taking shape a year ahead of its October 2011 deadline. But three-quarters of the £4m. to pay for it has yet to be raised.

NEARLY £3m. is still needed to complete the new Les Bourgs Hospice.

And Les Bourgs will have to move out of its temporary home at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital within the year.

Construction of the new hospice is already well under way, but three-quarters of the £4m. project’s price tag has still to be found.

Governor and redevelopment appeal committee chairwoman Advocate Alison Ozanne said she was impressed by the generosity of islanders so far, but that there was a lot left to do.
