PAC has ‘wasted taxpayers’ £80k by not checking WAO’

A REPORT that said the States failed basic principles of good governance is not worth the paper is it written on as the auditor who carried out the review has been discredited, a campaigning deputy has claimed.
Deputy Graham Guille has gathered a portfolio of evidence against the Wales Audit Office that he says confirms the consultants are in no position to be advising other organisations about their processes.
He has been heavily critical of the Public Accounts Committee, which commissioned the £80,000 report, saying it displayed a serious lack of judgement in appointing the WAO when warning signs about its shortcomings were clearly evident.
‘Whatever your view of the final WAO report, what cannot be dismissed is that long before the Audit Office began work there were ample signs of serious problems within that organisation,’ Deputy Guille (pictured) said.

Voice For Victims
Voice for Victims is a campaign aimed at promoting the rights of those affected by child sexual abuse.
He’d have spent his time better by fretting over the good governance of the Bailiwick not the WAO.
Does he think that all here is perfect by default?

so, before you assign auditors you first need to audit the auditors?
Before Deputy Guille assesses WAO I will assess him if someone will first assess me please. Please note: you must already have been assessed.

Loook at current copy of Private Eye for some detail of the WAO mismanagement.
Now the WAO is itself under investigation.
What a shower. Good on Graham Guile for not joining the sheep who would like to sweep all of this under the carpet.

Hello
The answer to your question is No.
Doesn’t the headline say so?
Mind you to be fair to PAC, the scandals concerning mucky pictures and strange accounting and business practices, were not in the public domain at the time they were contracted by PAC.
Even Richard Digard was taken in by their sales patter and bull****.

My previous post was, in retrospect, too generous to the PAC.
I should havet said
“Mind you to be fair to PAC, the scandals concerning mucky pictures and strange accounting and business practices, were not in the public domain at the time of Fallagate.
The later lack of PAC’s awareness of the shortcomings at WAO during 2009 is not to PAC’s credit, at a time when the failings of WAO were in the public domain.
