‘Back us or face an outcry’ – Beaucamps campaigner

Ian DoreyAFTER years fighting for a new school, the Les Beaucamps Redevelopment Campaign Committee is now celebrating the news that funding could be just weeks away from being granted.

Chairman Ian Dorey (pictured) has had three children study at the school and has spent two years with the committee.

‘This news has been a long time coming,’ he said.

‘It is well overdue and we are delighted.’

The committee’s campaign has included sending letters and emails to deputies, posters and getting more than 2,000 signatures on a petition backing a rebuild.

    No objection to re build, just a rejection of where it is being done.
    Last plans seen showed use of green field site and not clever redeployment/build schedule of currently developed land on the existing site.
