Couple scoops the million
Saturday 16th October 2010, 4:25PM BST.
A ST PETER PORT couple won the top prize in today’s million pound lottery draw in aid of the Cheshire Home.
Smaller prizes were also drawn, all of which were reportedly won by individual ticket holders.
The winning numbers are as follows:
First prize of £1,000,000 – 5600
£50,000 – 4894
£25,000 – 1020
£15,000 – 4365
£10,000 – 2286
The draw took place at Le Friquet Garden Centre in front of a large crowd and was hosted by radio presenter Gary Burgess.
A syndicate won top, rest individuals.
Drawing the winning numbers were Cheshire Home’s patron Lady Cecily Dorey, Craig Duquemin from Lloyds TSB and Cheshire Homes’ residents Colin Ellison and Jenny Browning.
The winners will now be contacted by phone.
A total of 5,000 tickets were made available at a cost of £300 each.
The funds raised from the lottery will go towards the home’s running costs of £35,000 a month and the cost of an extension to the building.

Well done to a great couple – really pleased for them and especially their children who can now look forward to security as their parents seem extremely sensible and loving.
Great stuff
