Monday 18th October 2010, 2:30PM BST.

Million-pound Lotto winners Kevin and Cheryl Le Tissier say they are facing up to the responsibility of winning a fortune to invest in their family’s long-term future. (Picture by Adrian Miller, 1041289)

A ST PETER PORT couple have become the first non-syndicate to win £1m. in a local charity draw.

And they promptly toasted their success – with coffee.

Not that they quite believed their luck – the good news is still sinking in.

Kevin and Cheryl Le Tissier, both 32, bought ticket number 5600 in the Cheshire Home £1m. Lotto the day before the draw.
