Rangers 4, Hamble 2
A BLISTERING Ross Allen-inspired comeback saw Rangers dump Hamble out of the Hampshire Cup in a cracking encounter at Foote’s Lane on Saturday.

After their recent FA Cup exploits, which saw the game moved back repeatedly, Hamble were strong favourites for the match, although they turned out to be second-best for long periods, but still threw away a two-goal half-time lead.

Even though the English side had some key names missing, it should take nothing away from Rangers’ performance, which should have seen the game killed off in the opening 20 minutes.

Time and again, Allen was put through beyond the Hamble backline, defending a bizarrely high line, while he was also adjudged offside on a number of occasions.
