TIM TORODE brought the curtain down on his ‘awesome season’ by lowering his own outright hill record at the Petit Bot time trial.
Torode clipped 13 hundredths off the sports libra up to 1600cc class on the fourth of his six runs.
It was one of at least seven, perhaps eight records, to fall on a day disrupted by loss of ambulance cover twice.
‘The weather was on our side,’ admitted Torode.
‘I feel I could have gone a little bit quicker but I didn’t perform very well on the last couple of runs.’
