‘WE GOT what we deserved.’
That was stand-in North coach Stuart Polson’s honest assessment as he watched his side deservedly beaten 2-1 by Vale Rec in an enthralling derby at Northfield last night.
The chocolate-and-blues went into the game with a 100% record, but that was shattered by Curtis Le Noury’s dramatic winning goal two minutes from time, this after Gareth Holden had levelled in first-half stoppage time.
It puts Rec up to second in the table, leapfrogging their Grand Fort Road rivals, and means that tomorrow night’s clash against St Martin’s will be a battle of the top two.
