Flying Jerseyman makes his debut

Louis Jouault LOUIS JOUALT is certainly flying higher than any of his opponents at this year’s Intertrust Guernsey International Chess Festival.

That is because the Jerseyman, the sole Caesarean in this year’s field, juggles his chess-playing with his full-time job of being a pilot.

And as Joualt (pictured), who is also the Jersey Chess Club president, explained, it was not an easy task.

‘I have little time to play chess because my job takes me all over the world,’ he said.
