Rest of the world catches on to Peter’s staple art

Peter Root literally turned the humble office accessory into an art form in the shape of a tiny New York-style metropolis and his work has attracted interest in Europe and across the Atlantic.
The College of FE teacher’s creation featured in national magazines, such as FHM, and newspapers, including the Daily Mirror, as well as on BBC Radio and ITV’s breakfast show Daybreak.
But readers of the Guernsey Press will remember that they saw his staple city concept here first when we ran the story last summer.
His latest work, named Ephemicropolis, was created in April at the Northern Trust building at Trafalgar Court.
