ANDY PRIAULX promises to attack as he heads into the penultimate weekend of the World Touring Car Championship in the best possible shape and bidding to overhaul leader Yvan Muller.

Priaulx, who lies in second place, 25 points behind the Frenchman and defending champion, believes the best way to prepare is by racing.

He arrived in Japan only a few days after competing in the Armor All Gold Coast 600s 300km races in Australia, which he regarded as crucial track time.

Priaulx says he now feels sharp and fired up for rounds 19 and 20 of the 22-round championship in Okoyama, where 50 important points are potentially available with just one more race weekend to follow in Macau, China.
