DEVELOPING a close working relationship with India could have huge economic benefits for the island, according to the Commerce and Employment minister.

Deputy Carla McNulty Bauer has just returned from the country, where she led a Guernsey delegation meeting senior business and political officials.

The team made several presentations to leading figures aimed at spreading the message of what Guernsey has to offer.

Deputy McNulty Bauer hailed the trip a success and said key players in India seemed ‘very keen’ to work with the island.
