Operation Action will not be last, says chief

MORE major operations like the one seen last weekend will be held, Guernsey’s police chief has said.
Nearly every officer was involved in Operation Action, a 24-hour campaign that tackled antisocial behaviour, underage drinking and other crime.
Police also wanted to raise awareness of their prevention work and to reduce islanders’ fears about crime.
‘At this stage we have tallied up the number of arrests but that is not solely the measure of success,’ said police chief Patrick Rice (pictured).
