LIONS A are the early leaders of the Doric Insurance First Division table tennis league following the conclusion of the first round of matches.

The Lions side, who finished as runners-up last season to Cenkos Panthers A, is unchanged and consists of Phil Ogier, Paul Hainsworth and Liam Robilliard.

Their lead is slender and they hold the advantage due only to having a superior games difference to both Whistlers C and Whistlers B who lie on the same points.

The league leaders started their campaign off with a tricky 6-4 victory over the side at the foot of the table, Whistlers A.
