Tree concerns one reason for planners’ rejection

A PROPERTY owner is appealing against Environment’s decision to refuse a planning application to create two more parking spaces than he was originally allowed.
Ron Wilkes-Green (pictured) had successfully applied to create six parking spaces at Mont Altier, Cordier Hill, St Peter Port.
But after starting work he decided to increase that to eight and sought permission for that. The department turned the new application down.
At an appeal tribunal, planning officer Julian Pentland said there was a noticeable difference between the application that was passed and the new one.
