Games athlete Jamie foils fleeing crash driver

OUTSTANDING achievements were recognised yesterday at Guernsey Police’s annual awards evening.
Commendations, long service certificates and awards were presented to officers who had gone beyond the call of duty when faced with difficult and challenging situations.
Among those recognised for their bravery and prompt action in rescuing a distressed male from the sea were Police Constables Zoe Hantonne and Philip Sheldon.
The Crimestoppers Trophy, given by the local board, was presented to Jamie Marsh for his brave and public-spirited intervention following a crash.
