GUERNSEY FC still looks set to be in existence as early as next season, Mark Le Tissier has confirmed.

Talks have been ongoing now for several months to move the project forward, with the Guernsey Football Association chairman saying that discussions are at a more advanced stage than ever.

‘The board of the GFA are still actively working on the feasibility of it,’ Le Tissier said.

‘We are in discussions with leagues in the UK and with potential sponsors about it, but we still have a little way to go.

‘We hope to be a position by the end of this year to be having discussions with our member clubs.’
