Mick homes in on 7,000

NERVES will not be getting the better of Mick Le Sauvage (pictured) as he prepares for his big day tomorrow.
The Pleinmont to Grandes Rocques 10k walking race brings up yet another milestone for the Sarnia Walking Club stalwart of more than 50 years stan ding.
The coastal race will bring him up to a staggering 7,000 race miles since he started his walking career back in 1959, since when he has been a virtual ever-present in local races.
But he insists this is just another race.
‘I will prepare the same as for any other race,’ he said.
