Tuesday 16th November 2010, 2:29PM GMT.

Guernsey Athletics
ATHLETICS have announced this morning that they have withdrawn from all Guernsey Football Association competitions with immediate effect and intend to form a ‘Super Club’ with Rovers.
As from midnight last night, the clubs will merge playing resources and both committees have made a commitment to work together, as they have over recent weeks, within a restructured joint committee, drawing up plans and strategy for the full merger under an officially registered new title of Guernsey Rovers Athletics FC, as from the beginning of the 2011-12 season.
The Tics players were informed of the plans at a meeting held yesterday evening and were encouraged to sign for ‘Rovers Athletics’.
