WITH the Grant Thornton Indoor Cricket League play-offs and finals fast approaching, the Appleby 8s look to have pipped their rivals and claimed the first spot in the grand finals after a convincing 86-39 victory over Ventricle Spouts A.

Javan Isabelle and Ashley Baigent were the match’s top scorers with 36.

It looks very much like they will be facing Vipers A who only just constricted their opponents Rovers by 100-97, Ian Atchison and Ben McVey’s 46 proving to be the difference.

In Division Two, a play-off between the top four sides will provide the two teams contesting the grand final.

At the moment it looks like the Vipers B side will finish the league at the top of the nest after crushing Salemites by over 30 runs.
