Museum storage plan ready soon

A PLAN on how to spend £250,000 in funding for heritage storage should be prepared before the end of the year.
Culture and Leisure minister Mike O’Hara said that now the money had been secured – controversially at the expense of bowel cancer screening – the department was almost ready to present a full business plan to Treasury and Resources, detailing how storage of heritage assets would be upgraded and rationalised.
‘We’re pleased that it’s finally happening because it’s something we’ve needed for a while,’ he said.
Chief officer Dave Chilton said the department had been planning the changes for a long time.
