Foy claims first victory

SEB FOY chalked up his first win on local soil and immediately thanked friend and rival Steve Dawes for the part he played in a comfortable win at Fauxquets on Saturday.

With Dawes absent in the UK and Lee Merrien on timing duty as opposed to racing, the former Loughborough student eased to a 53sec. win from Matt Loveridge over six laps of a punishing course through the valley, farm and campsite.

‘A big shout to Steve because without him I would not have been as fit as I am. He’s been getting me out of the door at six in the mornings,’ said the 22-year-old trainee accountant.
