Guernsey seniors on top against the old enemy

GUERNSEY returned from Jersey victorious in this year’s tenpin inter-insular, bringing home the women’s and men’s shields as well as the Iles de la Manche Trophy.
The men edged out their Caesarean opponents with an overall score of 272-268.
The men’s singles saw Jersey’s David Lin (average 204.50) victorious over Guernsey’s Nick French (203.83).
In the men’s doubles, Guernsey took the first two places with Derek Tomlin and French in top spot and Reuben Dowinton and Simon Le Tissier in second.
Jersey’s Ajay Tailor, Jeff Edwards and Saunders took gold in the men’s triples against Guernsey’s Chris Bellinger, French and Tomlin with Garry Hale, Le Tissier and Dowinton in third place.
