Johns pulls out a UK title

SIMON JOHNS has played in Muratti finals and won.
He has also been part of a triumphant Sark to Jersey crew and, now, he is a British indoor rowing champion.
At the massive National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, Johns, 34, won the lightweight category in the 30-34 years section of the British Indoor Championships.
He was one of eight contenders for his category title and produced a personal best 6min. 39.3sec. to claim gold.
