PULP FRICTION did not weaken in the face of final night pressure and are once again the winners of the first cycle of the Steele Property Island Team squash League.

Their match against Travel Solutions was a potential banana skin, but they showed that they are worthy champions by winning all the tight matches in a 5-0 victory.

John Lewis began with a straight-sets success over Tom Eulenkamp and got even better when Karen Millard produced a great performance to beat Karen Robinson in four.

The match of the night saw Matt Robin comeback from2-0 down to win against Richard Spurrier, so sealing the first-cycle title.
