TEACHERS, parents and students at Les Beaucamps High were celebrated yesterday that they will have a new building by 2012.
The States unanimously gave the go ahead for the £37m. project on Wednesday and it is hoped that work will start as early as the end of next week.
Head teacher Peter Le Cheminant said he could not be happier.
The parent and teachers association has campaigned endlessly for the rebuild. Chairman Ian Dorey said the new building would be a ‘real asset to Guernsey and its youth’.
