Great story, well done for managing to overcome adversity to build a successful business.
on a slightly different note, has anyone heard of the vOICe (a device designed to help the blind by generating an audio map of the visual field)? seems that the software runs on a low spec PC with attached webcam.

Agreed, Andre – a great story and congratulations are well deserved.
It’s just a pity it had to begin with a rather condescending comment about wood turners, describing it as akin to failure. Although not one myself (I’m an IT consultant actually!) I hear mastering wood turning is quite a skill.
It’s a shame that as a culture we often still look down our noses on artisans or manual workers who don’t work in an office. It takes all sorts to make a successful and well balanced economy.
