‘Do it by the book or else,’ say GFA

THE GFA are set to get tough on wayward clubs as they attempt to clamp down on needless postponements.
While the association conduct an investigation into the calling off of last week’s Division One match between Bels and Vale Rec, they have issued a reminder over the procedures that need to be followed.
In an e-mail to the clubs, secretary Mike Kinder (pictured) stressed that if those procedures are not met, punishments may be handed out.
‘Unfortunately, there have been times when games have been called off and the correct procedures not followed – and we all know this,’ he said.
