Kirk overwhelmed by his championship clean sweep

HE MAY only be 19, but James Kirk has made history by becoming the first person to achieve a clean sweep at the Island Pool Championships.
The youngster edged out serial winner Martyn Desperques to secure the men’s singles title to add to the pairs, under-21s and junior trophies.
Kirk (pictured) admitted that it was still sinking in.
‘I’m overwhelmed really. It’s hard to find the words to describe it, to be honest,’ he said.
