Liberation Group buys Laska bar

Tuesday 14th December 2010, 2:30PM GMT.

Laska's barTown bar Laska has been purchased by the Liberation Group.

The South Esplanade venue, which offers a mix of cocktails, drinks and food, becomes the 23rd Guernsey establishment owned by the Channel Islands pub, restaurant and drinks business, which also has 44 in Jersey and two in Alderney.

There are no plans to change the offering, but towards the end of next year Laska will probably benefit from a makeover in order to keep things fresh, according to Liberation Group chief executive Mark Crowther.

‘All we are looking to do is to maintain standards. We bought it because of what it is and we are not looking to change the operation or the style of the place at all.’
