Chloe finishes eighth among world’s elite

Chloe DykeCHLOE DYKE earned a very creditable eighth place among the world’s best artistic skaters when she represented Great Britain at the Junior World Championships in Portimao, Portugal.

Having been selected from her performances and this year’s British Championships and the Cup Of Europe event held in October in Sicily, Dyke (pictured) was very anxious to see what the Oceanic and American regions would be able to bring to the championships.

As always she was not disappointed with very strong competition seen from the American, Brazilian, Argentine and Colombian skaters.

The first two days of the championships is used to acclimatise the skaters to the venue and facilities and, although suffering from a winter cold, the Sarnian found herself comfortable with the floor and looked good in training.
