MAX BARBER, a sixth form student at Elizabeth College, has been selected to represent Great Britain in the Athelings shooting team.
As a member of the Elizabeth College Combined Cadet Force (CCF), Barber (pictured) has had to compete regularly in shooting competitions over a four-year period in order to gain enough experience and to achieve the required standard.
During this year’s School’s Meeting at Bisley, he won the Cadet Grand aggregate, the first Elizabeth College student ever to win this trophy.
The Cadet Grand is the most prestigious award at the Bisley schools’ meeting, effectively the best UK Cadet shot.
